No. But if chosen you will need to pay for a credit/background check for each adult. This is non-refundable. Typically around $50/report.
What is the lease term?
Initial lease term is month-to-month. Longer terms can be arranged on renewals if desired.
Minimum Requirements?
• Monthly income at least 3X rent ($4,500)
• No evictions, landlord litigation, or serious criminal background
What do you need to verify my income?
Check stubs and a company contact that can confirm. Bank deposits are not preferred.
When will you decide?
I will decide soon after the showings have completed. I understand that finding a place to live can be stressful and I will make a decision as soon as I can.
Do you accept section 8?
Sorry no. Not at this time.
Would you sell the house on land contract?
Yes. $150K price, $30K down payment, $1,100 monthly payment (plus taxes/insurance), 8% interest, 5 year balloon. If you are interested in purchasing please email me at chad@michigandomus.com. Proof of down payment funds will be required.

What is the process to rent?

  1. Go to michigandomus.com and click “APPLY”. Fill out the application completely.
  2. I will rank all fully completed applications based solely on the information that you provide in your application.
  3. I will contact the best qualified candidate and ask them to submit a credit and background check to me electronically. The cost for this is typically no more than $50, is non-refundable, and is paid by the applicant.
  4. I will also verify income, employment, and references at this time. Please be ready to provide proof of income and submit background checks quickly if contacted. I expect a lot of interest.
  5. If the information on your application is confirmed, we will move forward with the lease. If it does not check out, I will move on to the next best qualified applicant and start again. Please be truthful on your application! Doing otherwise only wastes your money and both of our time.
